Is it weird to get the most Satisfaction out of those darkest sides of entertainment? Even though it makes me sick I think the rewarding side of it Is how good it make me look In comparison I don't feel quite on the level Scatterbrained, nervous, disheveled Potential energy cashing in Is it weird to get the most Satisfaction out of those darkest sides of entertainment? With darkness hinting when you start to grin The only strategy being Dig Deeper I don't feel quite on the level Scatterbrained, nervous, disheveled Potential energy cashing in

Man this was the dream Dropping everything else and living as a team But it's not always the situation I had hoped This floor always smells of smoke All around us are empty walls and thrift store things Here everything is better when I'm not alone But whenever I walk through that door Nobody's home You lied about your dreams So I threatened I would leave You never leave the room where I pissed you off Where the god damn smoke alarms always going off All around us are empty walls and thrift store things Here everything is better when I'm not alone But whenever I walk through that door Nobody's home

You don't remember much of it In four hours that day so much had changed this new face seems to fit Permanence is upside down A mistake paid out ( peer out an icy window ) Who would have thought ( this is the place you call home ) Not quite the memo left in the letter ( expectations set so low ) Grab the glass, we've smoked out stress This time things are headed for better A rough sketched box encircles the date The time you gave, a place to stay such an off-handed way Backs bearing all the weight A mistake paid out ( peer out an icy window ) Who would have thought ( this is the place you call home ) Not quite the memo left in the letter ( expectations set so low ) Grab the glass, we've smoked out stress This time things are headed for better It's at Walmart she stands Friends asleep in the van Because there are dues to pay Because there are dues to pay

You might say I was wrong I could say you strung me along Now I guess just a friend Should have known thats how this would end Everyone that I meet seems to know more about you than me Even though there is no reason for it in this season And even though I know you don't care anymore Yeah I still feel Yeah I still feel On the day I went away I forgot, I meant to say All the time that I knew you I never got to think things through And now I see that you and me Never really could have been Even though there is no reason for it in this season And even though I know you don't care anymore Yeah I still feel Yeah I still feel

about

After Hours Radio Ann Arbor, Michigan

Formed in Ann Arbor, MI in 2014, AHR's name was inspired by a member's experience as a late-night radio DJ. The band's unrestricted songwriting is evident in the rhythmically-emphasized riffs and introspective lyrical themes in their debut EP and follow-up single.

AHR's latest EP seeks to explore the difficulties of moving on and, slowly but surely, rebuilding.
